Do we use Micro-hydroxyapatite (micro-HA) or Nano-hydroxyapatite (nano-HA) for the Bite&Brush Toothpaste Tablets?
Microparticles falls in a range of different sizes. The size of the Micro-hydroxyapatite particle we use is indeed small enough to fill up enamel imperfections helping to strengthen and remineralise enamel, while also sealing exposed dental tubules that cause tooth sensitivity.
Micro- hydroxyapatite is highly biocompatible and has a close analogy to the inorganic structure of tooth enamel.
Micro-hydroxyapatite is natural, while nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HA) is synthetic.
We’re all about keeping things natural and safe—and that’s why we chose micro-hydroxyapatite for Bite&Brush Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste Tablets.
How to use Bite&Brush?
It's as simple as 1,2,3!
Simply pop a tablet in your mouth, bite and chew
Wet your toothbrush and brush for 2 minutes
To get the maximum benefit simply spit, don’t rinse.
Smile!
Bite&Brush trades fluoride for hydroxyapatite (HA). Hydroxyapatite is a form of calcium that makes up 97% of your tooth enamel and nearly 70% of the dentine, making it completely biocompatible and non-toxic. Scientifically it’s been proven to strengthen/remineralise teeth, fight sensitivity, prevent plaque build-up and whiten teeth naturally.
Hydroxyapatite, is an evolution in dentistry and has been the gold standard in Japan for over 40-years. The Japanese company Sangi Co. Ltd was the first to take an interest in hydroxyapatite, after purchasing the rights from NASA (U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Authority) in 1970. The astronauts, in fact, lost minerals from the teeth and bones in the absence of gravity, and NASA proposed a synthetic hydroxyapatite as a repairing material.
In the Bite&Brush toothpaste tablets we complemented this powerful ingredient(Ha) with bacteria-fighting xylitol , a gentle scrubbing agent to polish your teeth and mild mint/spearmint flavour to bring you a natural , sustainable , effective toothpaste alternative.
Plus, there are no plastic microbeads, no plastic tube and zero waste!
Hydroxyapatite – Helps remineralises and strengthens teeth, while reducing sensitivity
Xylitol starves harmful bacteria of their food source, thereby reducing their ability to produce the acids that lead to cavities.
Zinc Citrate – Freshens breath by neutralizing sulphurs.
Peppermint and Spearmint oil– Helps for a refreshing taste, so you smile with confidence!
Calcium Carbonate – Gently clean your teeth without damaging or stripping the enamel
Sodium Cococyl Glutamate – a gentle foaming agent to make your experience as close as normal toothpaste as possible
Bite&Brush Hydroxyapitite Toothpaste Tablets was created by Chrismarié Barnardt, a Dental Hygienist from Cape Town, South Africa. “I noticed a growing demand for natural toothpaste (without chemicals that are found in traditional toothpaste), but so is the need for efficacy. Tooth decay and gum disease are some of the most common diseases in the world, although it’s completely preventable. I wanted to create a 100% natural, effective, non-toxic and plastic free toothpaste alternative.
Bite&Brush is the first and only premium toothpaste tablet in South Africa, that contains the revolutionary mineral Hydroxyapatite. The major component of traditional toothpaste is water (aqua). Bite&Brush doesn’t contain any water, just the finest quality dry ingredients compressed into a tablet, cutting out the need for a plastic tube”.
